“My work progressively researches and utilises the process of drawing, painting & printmaking to function as a language. As a writer would use vocabulary and a composer would use musical score I use contrasting elements and space to “speak” about the world around us. Works do not sit in any particular period and often include references to the past, present and future, signifying a passage of time. The intention is to encourage a dialogue, without being dictatorial; to instigate a journey, based on associated thought, which does not have to be logical or resolved. The inclusion of everyday, familiar objects and activities allows us to challenge how we consider ourselves as people within the domestic space”
